Position Summary
Have an eye for photography and video? Open to any major, this role will work as part of the OSU-Cascades Marketing and Communications team, creating content for social media, web, and print marketing materials. Your assignments will range from photographing campus events to taking portraits with professional lighting equipment to documenting rock climbing trips with Cascades Adventures.

Communication, Critical Thinking, Teamwork, Leadership, Professionalism, Equity & Inclusion, Technology, Career & Self-Development Position Duties The Student Photographer will primarily complete photo assignments on and off campus and will be responsible for editing and submitting images on a deadline. There will be opportunities for professional development through technical photography and videography training, job shadowing and networking with photo industry pros. Grow your portfolio and pursue projects that interest you!Photographers will be asked to meet in person on a regular basis for brainstorming, feedback, and some occasional administrative tasks. Must be academically enrolled in a high school, community college, or university and pursuing a program or course of study
Must meet Academic Standing Requirements; students on academic suspension are not eligible for employment
Must meet the applicable minimal enrollment standard
High School student: Regularly enrolled in a high school or participating in a home-schooling program
Undergraduate and post-baccalaureate student: 6 credit hours per term
Undergraduate international student: 12 credit hours per term*
Graduate student officially admitted to Graduate School: 5 credit hours per term
Graduate international student officially admitted to Graduate School: 9 credit hours per term*
*International students may be allowed to carry fewer hours than specified above and still be considered “full-time” by the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS). A reduced course load is approved by the (OIS), and must be provided to the Student Employment Center. Additional Required Qualifications The minimum qualifications include being academically enrolled at OSU-Cascades and meeting specific academic standing requirements and enrollment standards. Additionally, candidates should have an interest or experience in photography and video production, a commitment to inclusive content creation, teamwork skills, clear communication abilities and flexibility to work evenings and weekends when needed.Editing software and some photography equipment will be accessible for student workers and training for both will be provided. Preferred (Special) Qualifications Preferred qualifications for the role include video and photo editing skills and familiarity with programs like Adobe Lightroom, Photoshop and Premiere.
