Our work ensures that over 14 million people can reliably turn their lights on and complete their jobs, take care of their families, and live in comfort with convenience.
About the Department
The Energy Management System (EMS) Applications team develops and maintains the software that controls New England's power grid-some applications operate automatically, while others present critical information and controls for grid operators. The team plays a vital role in ensuring grid reliability and supporting the integration of new technologies into the region's power system.
