Student Hourly Assistant

Student hourly within a university's student affairs division, will provide office support (answering phones, data entry), student assistance (information dissemination, policy explanation), event support, or specific administrative tasks based on the department's needs.
Job Responsibilities
Answering phones, directing calls, responding to inquiries, managing mail, filing, scanning, and performing data entry.
Greeting students, explaining office functions and policies, assisting with enrollment or financial aid information, and providing basic advising
Assisting with the planning, coordination, and execution of campus events, meetings, or ceremonies
Communicating with students, faculty, staff, and the public via phone, email, or in-person.
Required Education and Experience:
Presently enrolled at Prairie View A&M University for at least nine graduate or six undergraduate semester credit hours during the term in which the work is to be done.
Must be in good academic standing (SAP) as demonstrated through your college; minimum 2.0 GPA
No prior experience necessary
For work eligibility during a summer term, a student must be enrolled for at least three graduate or undergraduate semester credit hours during the term in which the work is to be done or preregistered at least six undergraduate semester hours for the fall/spring terms.
Preferred Education & Experience
Students must meet specific eligibility requirements set by the university's financial aid and student employment offices.

Strong verbal and written communication skills for effective interaction with diverse individuals
