Job Description:

To be eligible to apply for this position, you must be a current student enrolled at McDaniel College. This position is open to work study and campus employment students. Position:  Videographer Revision Dates: 09/2024 Reports to: Assistant Coach Defensive Line Department:  Athletics Salary Grade:  Maryland Minimum Wage FSLA Status:   Non-exempt Duration of Appointment:  8/6/2025-5/20/2026 Schedule:  Schedule is at discretion of supervisor Evaluation Procedures:  Student workers are evaluated on a continuing basis Basic Responsibilities We are looking for a skilled videographer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in capturing high-quality video content, possess strong editing skills, and be able to tell a compelling visual story. The videographer will work closely with our creative team to produce videos that meet our Team's objectives and resonate with our audience. Key Responsibilities Capture high-quality video content for various projects Plan and set up video shoots, including lighting and audio equipment Edit raw footage into polished, engaging videos Collaborate with the creative team to develop video concepts Manage video archives and organize footage Ensure all video content aligns with brand guidelines Stay updated with industry trends and best practices Operate and maintain video equipment Conduct interviews and capture b-roll footage as needed Handle live streaming for events

Requirements:

Qualifications and Skills Current student at McDaniel College Proven experience as a videographer or similar role Proficient in video editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro or Final Cut Pro Strong understanding of camera operation, lighting, and audio equipment Creative mindset with an eye for detail Excellent communication and collaboration skills Ability to work under tight deadlines and manage multiple projects Knowledge of motion graphics and visual effects is a plus Experience with live streaming is advantageous
