Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey is seeking a Student Assistant for the Department of Urban Global Public Health within the School of Public Health, located in Newark, NJ. The Student Assistant will serve on a National Institute of Mental Health (NIMH)-funded research project. The purpose of this project is to develop a mobile application that supports black gay, bisexual, and queer young men facing experiences of racist, homophobic, and other identity-based stigma and violence.
This position is 100% grant-funded and located in Newark, NJ.
Duties include: Oversees the implementation of a daily survey study. This includes tracking daily responses and coordinating with
research assistants at community-based organizations (CBOs).
Coordinates with staff at CBOs to meet goals for recruitment and data collection.
Conducts regular reviews of the data to ensure data quality.
Programs and updates online Qualtrics survey system as needed to ensure that all surveys are administered properly. Must be motivated and detail-oriented; have exceptional writing, editing, and organizational skills; and be able to work independently.

Will require regular communication with partner community-based organizations. Preferred Qualifications Currently enrolled in a PhD program
Experience with Qualtrics, SPSS, and nVivo Equipment Utilized Physical Demands and Work Environment Special Conditions Students are expected to work a consistent 20 hours/week, with at least 2 days in-person in Newark, NJ.
