Covered California's Outreach and Sales Division is seeking to hire one motivated and self-driven Student Assistant to work directly with the Sales Operations Branch Chief. This position offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in branch administration, technical support, and the oversight and management of sales channel partner operations.

Employment
This is a part-time, temporary, non-benefited, student position. Employment in all positions with University Enterprises, Inc. is dependent upon the mutual consent of University Enterprises, Inc. and the employee. This means that either University Enterprises, Inc. or the employee can, at any time, terminate the employment relationship at will, with or without cause.

Prerequisites
Must be a college student attending classes during the regular term (fall, spring, and winter, if applicable) at an accredited college or university.

Work Schedule
Flexible workdays and work hours, Monday - Friday, between 8 AM - 5 PM. The final work schedule will be determined by the supervisor.
Additional Work Schedule
Student Assistant and Graduate Assistant employees generally work up to 24 hours per workweek (Sunday - Saturday) during the academic year and up to 40 hours per workweek during breaks; (winter, spring, and summer).
Compensation
$17.22 - $23.21 per hour
Minimum Qualifications
Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to learn and adapt quickly to new systems and processors. At least one year of experience typing letters, memos, reports, summaries, various types of correspondence, etc. Proficiency or at least one year of experience in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Word, SharePoint, Outlook and PowerPoint (Access, Excel, Word, etc.). Preferred Qualifications Individuals who are, or have been, a dependent child in foster care, a homeless youth or a formerly incarcerated youth as defined by Government Code section 18220 are encouraged to apply and will be given priority. Duties and Responsibilities Support administrative functions related to sales channel partner agreements, onboarding certifications, communication tools, data analytics, and enroller portals. Provide technical support within the SharePoint system, including file organization, updates, and troubleshooting. Assist in submitting and tracking travel expense claims. Assist in coordinating branch meetings, training, and ad hoc sessions, including scheduling, logistics, and follow-up tasks. Provide assistance and collaboration with other senior managers within the branch and Outreach and Sales division to support sales operations. Perform research and conduct analysis. Write and edit internal-facing materials. Assist with various administrative functions. Gain insight into the operational aspects of the Sales Operations Branch. Develop technical, organizational, and administrative skills in a professional environment. Learn about the management of sales channel partners and their tools, onboarding certifications, and data analytics processes. This position is ideal for students seeking to build practical experience in administration, technical systems, and operations within a dynamic and impactful organization. Emphasis learning in health insurance, health care and marketplace.
Physical Requirements
Sit for extended periods; frequently stand and walk; manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination; corrected hearing and vision to normal range; verbal communication; use of office equipment including computer workstations, telephones, calculators, copiers, printers, and scanners with or without reasonable accommodation.
Working Conditions
Work is performed in a remote environment however, students/employees are required to attend periodic in-person meetings.
Students/Employees will be required to work according to the current UEI remote workplace policy and sign a UEI Work from Home Agreement. The decision to permit an employee to work from home is at the discretion of the supervisor or employer and may, at any time and with or without cause, unilaterally terminate the option to work from home.
