Position Specific Summary
The undergraduate student will collaborate with the Class Year Programs team to ensure high-quality, safe, and engaging trips for all new GW students. Responsibilities include:
Leading a minimum of 2 District Connections trips a month.
Promoting District Connections through in-person correspondence with students by tabling or through the creation of digital marketing materials
Serve as an on-call resource to answer trip leader inquiries during trip meeting times
Keeping up to date on trips and trip information so as to be able to properly answer leader or student inquiries
The District Connections Administrative assistant is expected to be reachable by cell phone when on call, think critically and be able to pivot when change occurs, and be a team player.
Preference is given to applicants with previous experience volunteering for District Connections.
Standard Position Description
The student will supplement the goals of the department/program by facilitating connections between the department/program and other individuals and groups. Tasks may include: representing the department/program at a variety of functions such as events across campus and in the wider community, giving tours or presentations for the department/program, and/or offer peer-to-peer guidance on a group or individual basis. Special projects or other duties may be assigned related to specific departmental needs.
