We are currently seeking a Nurse Technician (PRN) to join our Medical and Surgical Units. In this role, you’ll work closely with patients, families, and healthcare professionals to support high-quality care and ensure a positive patient experience.
Key responsibilities include:
Assisting patients with daily living activities and mobility
Providing comfort and emotional support to patients and families
Monitoring patient well-being and promptly reporting concerns
Performing advanced care tasks (e.g., inserting Foley catheters, starting IVs) following appropriate training
Supporting clinical staff in delivering safe, effective care
Ensuring a clean, safe, and supportive environment for recovery
As a vital part of the care team, you’ll use your compassion, communication skills, and growing clinical knowledge to help patients feel supported every step of the way.
Eligibility: This position is open to students currently enrolled in an RN or LPN program who have successfully completed their first semester.
The shifts are 7 am – 7 pm or 7 pm to 7 am. However, we are very flexible with nurse tech hours and will work directly with your school schedule.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education and experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Currently enrolled in an ACEN or CCNE accredited RN program
- First semester of program must be completed
- Maintain a 3.0 GPA average
Knowledge, skills, and abilities:
- Must know principles and practices of nursing
- Compassionate
Licensure, registration or certification
- Current Kansas CNA license required
- Current certification in CPR/Basic Life Support required
