SUMMARY: Provide technical support for computer systems on campus by repairing, replacing, and deploying hardware and software components while providing answers to questions relating to support.
Applicant would need to start during the semester. Work is available during the summer if desired. *** Please note: Three references required when applying for this position.***
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Provide solutions to users' issues with computer hardware and software Research computer and software issues and offer resolutions Maintain documentation in database of service calls Pursue self-education/development to enhance skills and abilities Must be punctual and accountable Other tasks as assigned by supervisor REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES: Must be enrolled as a student at Bob Jones University 18 years old with a valid driver's license preferred Good customer service skills Strong communication skills Aptitude for training and developing users Ability to proactively identify tasks that need to be done Ability to follow instructions and to pay attention to details Working knowledge of basic MS Office applications Desire and aptitude to learn new technologies Must (occasionally) lift/carry up to 20 lbs. and /or push/pull up to 25 lbs.
