The International Student Integration Coordinator reports to the Director of the Intercultural Center and the Associate Director for Office of International Student and Scholars (OISS). This position will work alongside the professional staff of the Office of International Affairs, Gertrude Hochberg Women’s Center, Intercultural Center, and Pride Center.
The primary role of this position is to provide services and support to international students, specifically regarding campus inclusion and belonging, international student programming, and increasing awareness of international student trends and needs. This position will ensure superior service delivery to meet the unique needs of the international student population.This position requires flexible work hours including evenings, weekends, and some holidays. Principal Accountabilities Recruit, train, and supervise student staff working in the OISS.
Coordinate the logistics of 4MILE (Multicultural and International Leadership Experience) for incoming international students and collaborate with Student Events and Orientation area in providing assistance with new student orientations in the Fall and Spring.
Assist in leading the Steps to 4MILE Mentoring Program, including maintaining a mentor tracking system and assessment of the effectiveness of the mentor program.
Advise and support International Student Organization (ISO) through weekly meetings, event planning, and group development.
Meet with students to provide individual and group advocacy and mentoring services to ensure the success of international students.
Serve as a Designated School Official (DSO) to assist SEVIS reporting within regulatory guidelines and to counsel students on matters related to F-1 visa compliance and requirements.
Lead in the coordination of key campus -wide programming initiatives including heritage month celebrations, Global Community Hour, International Education Week and CDI Senior Awards Banquet.
Work in collaboration with students, faculty, and staff to increase awareness of international student related topics and ensure a wide range of international focused programs.
Work with Admissions, the New Student Programs, the Center for Academic Excellence, Academic Advising, and all other appropriate offices on recruitment and retention issues related to international students.
Partner with the Amica Center for Career Education and to help foster retention by engaging current students in career development with all forms of experiential learning.
Collaborate with the Alumni Engagement to create opportunities for international alumni engagement.
Serve on departmental and campus-wide committees as assigned.

Ability to work autonomously, take initiative, use sound judgement, and decision-making skills.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Demonstrate flexibility and the ability to handle multiple priorities.
Proven ability to build and maintain professional relationships through use of effective interpersonal skills.
Commitment to teamwork and collaboration with others. TRAINING AND QUALIFICATIONS: Best served by a person with: Bachelor’s degree required in higher education, student affairs or related field. Master’s degree preferred.
1-3 years working in international related programs and advising student organizations in an education setting, preferably higher education institutions.
Must meet federal regulations required to serve as a Designated School Official (DSO).
Experience providing services to a diverse student/international student constituency at the postsecondary level and a solid understanding of the needs of international students.
Knowledge of Federal regulations related to student immigration is preferred.
