About the Position
The Assistant Superintendent, Human Resources & Student Services, provides leadership and oversight for personnel services, special education, student support programs, and multilingual learner services. This role ensures compliance with state and federal laws while advancing FBUSD's mission of equity, inclusion, and student achievement.
Key areas of responsibility include:
- Leading all Human Resources functions, including recruitment, hiring, labor relations, and employee support.
- Overseeing Special Education services, compliance, and staff support.
- Directing student programs, including attendance, discipline, wellness, and wraparound supports.
- Supporting multilingual learners through effective instructional programs and compliance with Title III requirements.
- Serving as a collaborative partner with staff, families, labor groups, and community agencies
- Valid California Administrative Services Credential
- Master's Degree in Education, Human Resources, or related field
- Five years of successful administrative experience, with demonstrated leadership in HR and/or Student Services
- Experience in Special Education administration preferred
