TITLE: Dining Services Cashier

DEPARTMENT: Quest Dining Services

FLSA STATUS: Hourly

RATE: $15.00/hour

OPEN TO: Undergraduate students at Dominican University

DATES AVAILABLE: Fall 2025 - Spring 2026

Position Description:

To provide excellent customer service by accurately ringing up sales, receive money and giving back change to guests. Creating the "WOW" experience for guests. Performing high caliber customer service related to the front of house duties and interactions with students and staff.

Responsibilities: Report to scheduled shifts on time and in complete uniform Provide efficient, friendly and prompt service to the students and staff. Inform manager of need for change in a timely manner. Accountable for all accurate sales transactions. Accountable for accurate count of register drawer at the end of shift. Assist in overall sanitation and organization of line and surrounding areas. Work with other members of the team. Maintain open, positive and effective communication with others. Perform closing responsibilities, storing and cleaning of all line items and restocking all areas assigned. Maintain appearance and efficiency of the cashier station according to Quest standards. Assist others in closing procedures if time permits. Minimum Qualifications: Must be enrolled as a Dominican University undergraduate student at least part-time in a degree-seeking program. Must be eligible for US employment.

Desired Qualification Outgoing, friendly and customer focused. Demonstrates leadership abilities and must be a team player. Comprehension of English language and good communication skills. Works with speed, attention to detail, consistency and organization. Comfortable and pleasant demeanor in very busy environments.
