DESCRIPTION
The Coordinator for Student Life oversees the daily operations of the Center for Student Life and Involvement, supporting a vibrant campus community. This role assists with all aspects of campus life and student engagement, providing guidance and resources to student clubs and organizations. Candidates should have excellent customer service and communication skills, high attention to detail, and the ability to manage time well.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND DUTIES
Responsibilities
Serve as a primary point of contact for the Center for Student Life and Involvement by greeting visitors and students, answering calls, managing files, ordering supplies, and ensuring overall office organization.
Manage financial processes, including submitting expenditures, completing purchase requisitions, and overseeing budget-related items for the Center for Student Life and Involvement, Cheer Program, and Student Service Fee Advisory Committee (SSFAC).
Coordinate schedules, arrange meetings, and serve as a liaison between Student Life and other campus departments.
Recruit, hire, train, and supervise student assistants for the Center for Student Life and Involvement and the Apache Game Zone.
Submit and manage campus event requests in coordination with the Campus Event Scheduling Coordinator and other campus services while maintaining OrgSync, Outlook, social media, and all event calendars.
Assist in planning, coordinating, and executing Student Life events, including the Ya-A-Te Leadership Retreat, Welcome Week, Homecoming, Spring Fling, Arbor Day, and other major campus events.
Maintain accurate records for student clubs and organizations while managing documentation and administrative processes related to SSFAC.
Oversee daily operations of the Apache Game Zone, including equipment updates, staffing, patron assistance, and maintaining an engaging student environment.
Facilitate the collection, pickup, and delivery of orders, catering, and supplies for Student Life events.
Arrange travel logistics for staff and students, including hotel accommodations, conference registrations, vehicle requests, and required travel documentation.
Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Student Life.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

Travel Required: Yes - minimal
If travel is required, the candidate must have and maintain a current, valid Texas driver’s license and an acceptable driving record.
QUALIFICATIONS
Required Education
Associate’s degree in a related field
Required Experience
Two years of experience working in an administrative support role, student life, or a similar position
Preferred Skills
Possess excellent written, verbal, and organizational skills.
Experience with social media platforms, including, but not limited to, Facebook, Snapchat, YouTube, Instagram, etc.
Knowledge of Windows Operating System and Microsoft Office 365.
