Florida Atlantic University is seeking a Coordinator, Office of First-Generation Student Success. - Boca Raton, FL.
Summary of responsibilities:
Administer and Manage the RISE program:
Manage the Johnson Scholar Foundation (JSF) selection, recruitment, and onboarding process. Recruiting first-generation low-income students to participate in RISE/TAP
Provide supervision and performance assessment of the Graduate Student Workers (GSW) for the Office of First-Generation Student Success.
Manage the RISE/TAP curriculum and associated forms.
Collaborate with the FAU Mentoring Project to ensure RISE/TAP participants are intentionally paired with mentors familiar with the RISE Program and its participants.
Monitor student progress and create intervention strategies to ensure students successfully complete these programs.
Communicate regularly with students and ensure they are aware of programs that may be counted towards their curriculum requirements.
Collaborate with campus partners to provide resources and holistic support to RISE/TAP participants.
Develop and create the RISE/TAP engagement and “touch-point” programs.
Work closely with the assessment team to continuously review, assess, and improve the RISE/TAP curriculum/model.
Administrative Duties within the Office of First-Generation Student Success:
Marketing & promotion of programs and services for First-Generation and Transfer students at Admissions and Orientation events.
Organize, coordinate, and manage the first-generation programming calendar to ensure that all logistics, marketing, and event attendance are collected and assessed.
Collect data and assist with the end-of-year reporting and reports to the Johnson Scholarship Foundation.
Advise the first-generation student organization (First and Proud).
Assist with the development of campus traditions specifically for first-generation and transfer students (e.g. homecoming and graduation events).
Participate in institutional, divisional, and department-wide events as needed.
Stay current on research and best practices for encouraging first-generation student success.
Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:
A master's degree from an accredited institution in an appropriate area of specialization; or a bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in an appropriate area of specialization and two years of appropriate experience required. Salary:
$43,014 - $45,000 per year. College or Department:
