Under general supervision, an incumbent of this position works with the students and faculty advisors of the various student organizations and activities to assist them in the successful operation of their programs. Supervision is exercised over a small number of clerical and student assistants. Does related work as required. Desired A Bachelor's Degree and either (a) a Master's Degree in Student Guidance or related field, and three years experience in working with students or student affairs or (b) four years experience in working with student affairs; or (c) any satisfactory equivalent combination of the foregoing training and experience. Notes (1) The number of years of experience required in the minimum qualifications is based upon the presumption of full-time employment. Part-time experience will be prorated based on a 35 hour workweek. (2) Verified and documented volunteer (unpaid) experience will only be credited when specifically allowed by the job description or examination announcement. Special Notes Education beyond the secondary level must have been awarded by a college or university accredited by a regional, national, or specialized agency recognized as an accrediting agency by the U.S. Department of Education/U.S. Secretary of Education.
