Admissions Tour Guides / Student Ambassadors will support the efforts of the Admissions Office by enthusiastically leading tours of the campus to prospective students, families, and other visitors of Fitchburg State. Additionally, tour guides will be expected to assist with preparation for all admissions programs and events, attend scheduled meetings and training sessions, contact prospective and admitted students, and assist with the completion of various tasks as needed. Competitive applicants will have broad experiences as Fitchburg State students both socially and academically, and possess the communication skills essential to this position. Admissions Tour Guide Job Expectations & Requirements Promote Fitchburg State University in a manner that is both positive and enthusiastic. Greet and welcome visitors to campus as they arrive to the Admissions Office. Lead a campus tour that is informative, positive, and provides visitors with a better understanding of the positive experiences of Fitchburg State students. Participate in call campaigns to Prospective and Admitted students. Respond to all email messages, phone calls, and other communications in a timely and professional manner. Arrive for all scheduled shifts on time. Adhere to the defined tour guide dress code. Attend all fall open house dates and spring admissions events. Attend all scheduled meetings and training sessions. Show respect for all visitors, staff, faculty, and students of Fitchburg State University. Assistance with training of newly hired tour guides through presentations and job shadowing. Other tasks will be assigned as needed.

Requirements:

Minimum Eligibility Requirements: Enrolled as a full-time undergraduate student in good academic & social standing. A minimum cumulative GPA of a 2.5 or higher. Ability to comfortably greet visitors and speak in front of groups. Commitment to professionalism and dependability. Ability to relate to a diverse population, while articulating the values and benefits of the Fitchburg. State student experience to prospective students and families.
